Ham & Apple Kabobs

Ham & Apple Kabobs

The ham can be cut from a boneless ham, sem-boneless ham, ham end, canned ham, or from a piece of deli ham (cut about 1-1/2" thick)

  • 1 lb. boneless ham, cut into 1" to 1-1/2" cubes
  • 1 T. lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup apple jelly
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 large apples - cored, peeled and cut into wedges

Preparation -
Sprinkle lemon juice over the ham cubes. Let stand while making the apple glaze. To make the glaze, melt the apple jelly in a microwave oven, on high power, for about 30 seconds. Add the cinnamon to the melted jelly and cook on medium power for about 2 minutes, stirring about half-way through. Alternately thread the ham cubes and the apple wedges onto skewers. Brush the kabobs with about half of the apple glaze. Grill the kabobs over medium hot coals for 10 to 12 minutes, turning frequently. Baste the kabobs with the remaining apple glaze about two minutes before removing them from the grill.
