Cassie on the Young and the Restless is in serious condition. What will happen to her?

Cassie was driving the car when Daniel and she crashed. Cassie's father and others blame Daniel because they think he was driving. However, Cassie who is awake left the hospital to tell Daniel she was driving the car. She is now lost and confused. To make matters worse, her doctors say if she doesn't get back to the hospital, she'll die.

I wonder how could Cassie escape the hospital? She pulled off her IV and monitors. The last time I looked when these things are disturbed, an alarm goes off immediately in the nurses station.

I understand that they need a storyline, but a little more accuracy helps the storylne.
