Peach Ice Cream

Peach Ice Cream

  • 3 medium size freestone peaches - peeled, pitted and chopped
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups half & half

Preparation -
Place the chopped peaches in a bowl and mash them with the back of a large spoon. Mix the sugar and vanilla with the peaches. Add the half and half and mix well. Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's directions. The ice cream will be soft and creamy, about the consistency of soft serve ice cream. For firmer ice cream, spoon it ice into a freezer container, cover, and place it in the freezer for about 3 hours. For easier scooping, remove the ice cream from the freezer about 10 minutes before serving.
