Grilled Baked Sweet Potato Recipe

Grilled Baked Sweet Potatoes

Here's a great grilled side dish recipe... a tasty and healthy alternative to ordinary baked potatoes.

  • 4 medium to large size sweet potatoes
  • vegetable oil
  • 4 T. butter
  • 4 T. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Preparation -
Brush the sweet potatoes with vegetable oil. Pierce each one with a fork a few times. Wrap each sweet potato in aluminum foil. Grill over medium hot coals for about 1 hour or until fork tender, turning over one time. Remove from the aluminum foil. Slice a small cross in the top of each sweet potato and push on the ends to open and fluff. Top each one with 1 T. butter plus 1 T. brown sugar and 1/4 tsp. cinnamon. Serve immediately.
