| Machine Embroidery and More by Kristen Dibbs ISBN:1-57120-162-9 Paperback 2001 - C&T Publishing Ltd Review copy kindly provided by C & T Publishing Ltd. | Australian textile artist, Kristen Dibbs, has created an inspirational book that encourages machine embroiderers and quilters to take a step outside the box with their craft.
The book has 10 projects in it, and these are beautifully explained and laid out - in fact even me (who does not machine embroider) would be able to complete one of these.
These beautiful projects use beads, different fabrics (including some beautiful boarder fabrics) and more to create exotic and sumptuous embroiderers that would be accorded pride of place in any home.
Before you get into the projects, however, the book does contain a few chapters explaining techniques you will need, and giving information on choosing your fabrics. These are very well written, and beautifully illustrated.
This book will take your machine embroidery a step beyond where you have previously been - and for those machine embroiderers who have not tried quilting, it will also introduce you to this interesting craft.
All in all, this is a great book, and I highly recommend it for advanced machine embroiderers who are looking for a challenge.
