| Step 6. Convert to symbol. Now we will convert the star to a symbol. Select Frame 1 on the Star layer of the Timeline. Then click on the star with the Selection Tool. From the Menubar click Modify > Convert to Symbol. Set the following values in the dialog box. Name - Star Behavior - Movie Clip Registration - Center A movie clip symbol should be added to your Library Panel (Window > Library). Step 7. Create the animation. We will use the Motion Tween to create the animation that makes the star appear to brighten and fade in the sky. We will do this by setting the opacity (or alpha) of the star very low on the first and last frame of the animation. Click on Frame 1 on the Star layer of the Timeline. In the Property Inspector, set Tween to Motion. Right click on Frame 15 on the Star layer of the Timeline and choose Insert Keyframe. Repeat for Frame 30. Select Frame 1 in the Star layer of the Timeline. Click on the star with the Selection Tool. In the Property Inspector set the Color drop-down list to Alpha and the percentage to 5%. Repeat this for Frame 30. Step 8. Test the animation. Click on Frame 1 in the Star layer of the Timeline. Click on the Ctrl and Enter keys on your keyboard to open a preview of the animation. Step 9.
