Acme Web Design Info has created the perfect tool for the html user. Designing web sites and html pages are greatly simplified with this small executable that gives the user instant feedback. Using a split screen , Web Design Toy provides the user with one editing window and one display window. Anything typed into the editor window in html format is immediately shown in the display window as it would appear when published on the web.
Mistakes and miscues are immediately visible, preventing tedious searching later when the final product is run. Also, immediate validation of your tables and CSS styles make creating these potentially difficult html features a snap. Of course, Web Design Toy is not a substitute for proper html, but it does make learning and using html, especially for the beginner, a much-less daunting task.
I recommend downloading the small (449 KB) file to your desktop and running it from there. Since nothing is actually installed on your computer, you can open and close it whenever you need to use it. You can also run it from either a CD or flash drive, making it ideal for students who use more than one computer.
Web Design Toy will display any html typed into the editor. Anything between any tags will be displayed exactly as it will in the final product. This makes it easy to experiment with any element of html outside the finished document. Big text, small text, bold, italicized, different fonts, color, and spacing can be sampled without complicated code.
The strength of Web Design Toy is in it's simplicity. No spyware, no adware, no parasites.. just a nice little freeware file that doesn't require installation or instructions. I would highly recommend this freeware to both teachers and students of html as the perfect companion to their classroom textbooks.
Works with all versions of Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP ..
