Venice Water Tours

Venice Accommodation

The watery Venice cannot be kept apart from its role as the most representative Italian city of Art; here migrant and sedentary birds, freshwater and sea fish and the animals living in this area have found a safe shelter, for they are protected by the International Agreement of Ramsar about the preservation of the worthiest naturalistic environments. Therefore, here you can enjoy artistic, archaeologic, fishing, religious, naturalistic, environmental, lagoon, marine, fluvial and gastronomic 'watery tours', in order to discover the antique traditions belonging to the feeling of being part of Venice, the "Venezianitą".

Create a holiday able to couple the traditional visit to Venice with the discovery of its impressive watery richness: the sea, the lagoon, the sandbanks, the natural reserves and many more.

  1. Venice and its main islands: the traditional tour, including visits to Torcello, Burano and Murano islands

  2. Venice and its minor islands: it is important to mention those near the Old Town, i.e. San Giorgio, Santa Maria delle Grazie, San Servolo, San Clemente, San Lazzaro degli Armeni, and those in the surroundings, such as Poveglia, Sacca Sessola, San Clemente, Le Vignole, San Erasmo, San Giacomo in Palude and San Francesco del Deserto

  3. Venice and its shores: along the landstrips of Lido and Pellestrina which separate Venice from the sea, including possible stops in Chioggia and Sottomarina southward or in Cavallino and Jesolo northward.

  4. Venice and its sea: hugging the most famous Adriatic coasts and fishing together with the local fishermen, learning the secrets of the seagoing.

  5. Venice and its rivers: along the Riviera del Brenta with its well-known villas; the river Sile and its striking sceneries; the river Livenza and its crystal clear waters.

  6. Venice and its valleys: in the most uncontaminated places of the lagoon, in the natural wilderness, in the past the fishing valleys were created, where nowadays grey mullets, gilthead breams, basses, eels, molluscs, shellfish and other lagoon species are extensively bred.

It is obviously impossible to list all the boat services and itineraries available in Venice: alone or in groups, for families or for adult people only, for few hours or all day long, with lunch on board or at a restaurant, in the daylight or at night, accompanied by a tour or naturalistic guide, along a planned path or following a requested route, on a circular tour or embarking and landing in different places, and many more.

The fleet of ships at disposal is varied and ranges from the simple canoe to the majestic cruiser, beside the typical fishingboats and the original Venetian 'bragozzi". You are spoiled for choice and you can start on your adventure rowing or sailing in the sea-breeze or else using the modern propulsion technologies.
