Why did you model for Plush Cat/Satu? Because I wanted to be a part of what they do!! I saw all the positives they provide the community and I wanted to be able to say that I had, even if just a little, part of that.
What did you gain from the experience? I was a bit stressed to see if I was even going to be picked for the calendar. Then the anticipation of seeing the pictures we all had taken. I think everyone felt this, but I was a little more nervous than most of the girls because I had had surgery three days before my shoot, so I wasn't at 100% at all. Then the excitement of knowing I made the calendar, that's a feeling that's hard to put into words. And getting to see all the hard works that goes into making a calendar.
Do you do other modeling? Yes I do. I started out in Curvaceous Magazine, that's how I got to meet Satu, through the other photographer. I have also worked with a couple local companies. I would love the opportunity to work with everyone in the plus community.
What's your day job? I am the Human Resources/ Operations Manager at a company. I really love all the people I work with, it's a little family outside my real family. Some of my co-workers and I have known each other for over 3 years.
What do you hope your picture says to other women? I hope my picture says to women be comfortable with yourself, everyone has something special about them. That it is Ok to be comfortable with yourself no matter what size you are, because beauty doesn't come in just one shade or one size. Everyone has something special about them!
What do you hope your picture says to men? Look at how sexy she is! And I hope it gets the attention of some men who wouldn't normally be attracted to a larger woman. And have them say hmm she is so beautiful... sexy... maybe I've been missing out!
