Plus Size Tunics

Tunics are the hottest trend this year for spring, summer, winter or fall. They look great paired with jeans, dress pants, skirts or shorts. Having at least one or two will help round out your wardrobe.

What is a tunic
Tunics have come a long way from the boxy cuts the Roman use to sport. They come in so many designs, fabrics and cuts so everyone can look great in them. Having big hips myself, I love how most of them flare at the bottom.

Caring for your tunic
Read and follow the instructions. If it says handwash, handwash it at least the first times so you get your money's worth out of wearing it and then only use the gentle cycle. If you do your laundry at the laundromat do not take your fine washables there. Get some zero and take 15 minutes to handwash a bunch of things at once.

Here are some of my favorite tunics from some of the hottest online plus size clothing retailers.

AT WORK

Avenue - At work go for the classic navy tunic. This lace up number is che sexy but dressy enough to wear to the office with a pair of black dress pants.

TRAVELLING

Fashion Bug - This little number was in the Figure magazine and I fell in love with it instantly. I don't wear black on top but the white is fabulous with a hint of sparkles. They also have the greatest selection of tunics if this one isn't to your liking.

WEEKENDER

Lane Bryant - For the weekend this casual in pink with this Crewelwork peplum tunic is excellent with a pair of jeans.

NIGHT OUT

Size Appeal - For a sexy night out have a look at Black Heat. It's definitely not your traditional tunic but still has the light airy feel.

Enjoy making this clothing trend a part of your functional wardrobe.
