For people who want to wear clothes with a clean conscious here are some businesses that manufacture and sell organic and natural fiber plus size clothing (this list was difficult to composite as most organic clothing stops at size 16 or smaller).

Babs Design offers "Real Sizes for Real Women". Cambodian silk is the highlight of these delightfully flattering fashions offered in size 2 - 26. These are pricey designer duds so don't be expecting any Walmart specials.

Blue Fish Barclay Studio offers organic cotton and hemp in free flowing designs and earth loving colours. Regular and plus sizes up to 22 (a few styles go beyond 22). Officially located in Taos, New Mexico but you can order online.

Cotton Ginny Plus has always been one of my favourite plus size clothing stores and they own the relaxed section of the market in Canada. They offer a modest line that is durable and well made. They have been increasing their organic cotton line over the last year. Thankfully they removed the old blend which included polyester!

Decent Exposures has ultra soft bras and panties available in organic cotton. Got 'em, love 'em! They can be ordered online and are made specifically to your measurements. Read site from tip to toe before ordering.

Diane Kennedy offers sustainable clothing in sizes small to 3x. You'll find bamboo, tencel, soy, organic cotton and wool clothing in great cuts and earthy colors. The clothing all seems to have an interesting feature that makes it unique looking.

Eileen Fisher has women's sizes up to 3x. Scroll down to "special" then "women's" sizing to find their silk and wool offerings in basic designs. You can order from their online catalogue but it's not cheap.

Esperanza Threads have a huge selection, for the whole family, to choose from, from under garments to blouses, dresses and more both casual and dressy. Regular and plus sizes up to 3x. 2x and 3x sizes require an additional $5-10 to listed price depending on design. Orders take 2-3 weeks to receive as clothes are made after you order. Located in Bedford Ohio but available online.

Hae Now Organic Clothing has a small selection of organic tees at reasonable prices up to 2x. Their name stands for Humans, Animals, Environment... NOW!

Hemp Sister has a cute assortment of recycled hemp/wool handbags, hats and scarves. Unfortunately their clothing sizes only go up to 16-18 and are ultra casual.

Linda Lundstrom recently instituted real women, real sizing up to size 24. Their stores carry a selection of bamboo clothing. Their website has a store locator for Canada and the US.

Maggies has a small selection of tops and socks but excellent prices. Women's sizes up to 3x on some items. They have a new baby line if you're into it.
