Newsletter
Guest Author - Michelle L. Pendergrass

I'll be honest, I've never written a newsletter, for that matter, I've never been an editor nor have I been ever been trusted with a task anything like what I'm doing here at BellaOnline. We've all got to start somewhere, right?

I will send out a very brief newsletter once a week. Short. Sweet. To the point. It won't take much of your time at all.

My goal is to provide you with articles that mean something to you. Tangible, take-to-heart stories, lessons, book reviews, interviews and more. The thing is, I'm green. I do have a plan and I've set goals, but the bottom line is that I'm not here saying this stuff to hear myself talk. This is for you. I want to write things that you recognize, that when you read, you nod your head and say to yourself, "Yep, me too," or "I know where you're coming from, I hadn't thought of it that way."

It's a little scary to take on doing things for other people, isn't it? You run the risk of doing things wrong, saying something ignorant, or just plain messing things up. I've prayed about my endeavor here and I've prayed for you, too. My prayer is that we can work as a bit of a team on this. I thrive on your feedback since this website is all about you and the things that you're online searching for and reading.

I bet I found this site the same way you did, at least quite a few of you. I was looking for a particular poem and my search engine led me to a BellaOnline article. I clicked around a bit and really fell in love with the place. Soon after, I saw the position open, I prayed and I applied to be the editor here at the Baptist site.

I love that I can talk with you on a personal level and ask you for your feedback. I can't promise you the world on a silver platter, but I can promise to do my best and always try to meet your needs. I hope that you'll drop me a line and let me know what kinds of stories and articles you'd like to see. I won't ever mention your name or email or anything that is private. All you need to do is send me a little note that says, "Hey Michelle, I'm struggling with this," or "How about this topic?" I will do my best to write something that you can use.

Now, look over to the right--> There's a button that says Forums, one that says Contact Me and under that is the sign-up for the newsletters.

I'm excited to begin this journey!
