You will find boutique fabrics at a higher end price but not a starlet price. Designs are divided into collections like Holiday, Rebel Colours, Brown Sugar Classics and the Convertible Dress. Each section can be viewed in one to two pages. The hottest item they have is the convertible dress which can be manipulated into ten different looks and comes in an awesome array of colours. Moe: What kind of clothing does Monif C. offer?

Monif Clarke: Monif C. is a contemporary designer plus size line. We concentrate primarily on bringing sophisticated and sexy dresses to plus size women. We are filling a gap in the market between $40 tops and $400 tops. We believe that women can have designer clothing at a moderate, affordable price point. All of our pieces are made of designer fabrics, many of them imported from Italy, hand-beaded trims, silks, laces, and rayon jersey. These fabrics move different, feel different, and last forever.

Moe: What kind of woman would enjoy your fashions?

Monif Clarke: Any plus size woman that loves high fashion and loves to look sophisticated and sexy. These are women that understand fashion and glamour and appreciate their curves. That can be a woman that is 25 or one that is 55. Style transcends age.

Moe: What do you think is the number one mistake plus size women make when it comes to clothing?

Monif Clarke: Wearing baggy clothing, it only makes you look bigger.
