Adobe Captivate 3 Upgrade Review - 2

Adobe Captivate 3 Upgrade Review - 2
In keeping with the latest trends, Captivate 3 can easily create training Podcasts and the finished project can be exported as a Flash swf file (including a preloader and playback controls) and other Flash based output for online teaching and marketing. Because the finished file is so well compressed, it can be quickly downloaded or emailed. You can even generate an accompanying PDF version. Captivate can also work with Learning Management Systems such as Adobe AcrobatR ConnectTM Pro, Adobe Presenter, SCORMR and AICC PENS.

If you have ever watched the same training video and taken the same practice quiz more than a few times, you know how easy it is to trick yourself into achieving a top score on the assessment. In order to keep your training and assessment videos fresh, and prevent them from becoming predictable, you need the ability to present assessment questions in a random sequence. Randomization, question pooling and the reuse of questions from previous projects are new features in this upgrade. You also have the option of using more types of questions including text entry boxes, short answer, click boxes, buttons, fill-in-the-blank and matching. With Captivate's user-friendly menus, you can easily create complicated, and yet flexible, testing.

You will also notice improvements in multimedia effects in Captivate 3 including better transitions between slides, rollover slidelets, zoom areas, animations, highlight boxes, seamless audio and video and support for MicrosoftR PowerPointR animation. You can easily add all of these without any multimedia programming skills. Because you can add several effects on each slide, you can create more realistic simulations and training.
