Finding Lost Loved Ones
Guest Author - Sunniej Jackson

A newspaper article recently revealed photos of a 4 year old girl believed drowned over a year ago during a holiday outing at the beach. The girl’s body was never recovered and police considered her lost at sea. The parents have started Let's Find Jewel Strong Organization to encourage more tips and leads in the case. A $5,000 reward was offered for Jewel's safe return and $1,000 more was offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person responsible for kidnapping her.

The parents have received numerous tips on sightings from restaurants, stores, hospitals in the Jacksonville, Florida area and recently a tip directed the family to a restaurant surveillance tape that revealed a little girl that the family believes is the missing girl.

Unfortunately, Jewel Strong has not been located and reunited with her family at the writing of this article. At this time it is believed she might be in the Orlando, Florida area. The latest clue was from a Walgreen’s surveillance tape in Orlando. Anyone with information is asked to call 800-THE-LOST or the Jewel Strong Organization at 904-647-6977 or 904-422-8448. If you see any strange situations or people that don’t seem like they belong together as a unit take special note and report to local authorities. Together we can all make the difference in situations such as these.

This is a story of encouragement to all parents, family members, and friends of missing persons to not give up especially in cases such as this where no body was recovered. We must use all resources and energy available to continue looking for clues and overlooked information. It is up to the family and friends to move forward when police efforts have started to wane or grow cold.

To all of those who have a missing family member or friend don’t give up and keep your loved ones alive in your hearts, your thoughts and most importantly your actions. There have been many cases of missing persons found years later alive and well sometimes living in close proximity to family members. With all of the missing person associations, organizations, web sites, e-mail capability, home printers readily available, there are more tools than ever to assist us to continue making positive actions toward finding and reuniting with our loved ones. Use all the resources available to you and think outside of the box. I pray for all the missing people and all their loved ones to keep hope alive with appropriate action.
