These beautiful cards were created by artist Anne Baird, former teacher, school administrator, author, freelance artist and journalist. Her line of Goddess Cards was born from a card she created for her curvy daughter, "You're a Goddess, not a nymph!" Goddess Cards is based in West Vancouver, BC.
Selection: Goddess Cards currently has a selection of 89 cards (and growing). Sizing: Each card is printed on 100 lb card stock and is 5"x7" in its folded state.
Packaging: Each card comes with a white stationary envelope and packed in a clear sleeve.
Pricing: In general, Goddess Cards are $4 each but they have a minimum order for processing - 8 cards which comes to $32 US.
Availability: Goddess Cards will ship within Canada, the US and Internationally. There is no clear cost shown on the website but they claim to charge what is charged to them. Orders of $100 + get free shipping.
Overall Impression: Goddess Cards offers beautiful, colorful and inspirational stationary that is female oriented (although they do have a new line of masculine cards). The body images feature a nice selection of average body types (although I'd like to see a few more 'bigger' girls featured). Some of my favorites: Moon Goddess, the Three Graces, Gypsy Heart, Sagittarius, Jump for Joy, Friends, Eve and all of the new Intention cards. A nice feature is that you can order card sets or a collection of your favorite cards; so you are not stuck with cards that are not necessarily your favorite.
The subject tabs are small so get your granny glasses out. The shipping information isn't highlighted well and is a bit vague. I found it at the end of the main page's welcome message. It would be more logical to have a subject heading for it like everything else on the site. Otherwise the site is easy to maneuver to view the cards and the images are large enough to fall in love with the designs. At the moment they accept Visa and Mastercard (unfortunately, no PayPal at this time). The shopping cart is a simple manageable system through Yahoo! Shopping.
More important though is the message many of the cards give, we are all beautiful and we all should celebrate the life we have. If you haven't already, I highly recommend adding Goddess Cards to your stationary collection.
