Clam Dip Recipe

Guest Author - Sandy Moyer

Clam Dip

Here's a recipe for a slightly spicy, tasty dip for clam and seafood lovers. Serve as a party appetizer with crackers, thin pretzels or corn chips.

  • 4 oz. cream cheese, regular or low-fat, softened
  • 1 can (6.5 oz.) minced clams
  • 2 tsp. finely chopped white onion
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • Tabasco pepper sauce - a few drops, to taste
  • 1 T. mayonaisse
  • 2 or 3 T. finely cut fresh parsley

Preparation -
Place the softened cream cheese in a bowl. Using an electric mixer, whip the cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add the minced clams and chopped onion and mix well. Add all the remaining ingredients and mix until very well blended. Place the mixture in a covered container and refrigerate. Chill for at least two hours before serving. Serve with corn chips, assorted snack sticks or crackers or thin pretzels.
