The official nominations for the 36th annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced May 14. There are some surprises this year. For starters, there is only one CBS nominee in the Outstanding Drama Series category: The Bold & the Beautiful. Missing from that list is the Young and the Restless and Guiding Light. Y&R and GL have been nominated countless times for Outstanding Drama Series. Some newcomers on the list are Jeff Branson (Shayne Lewis, GL) and Meredith Hagner (Liberty Ciccone, ATWT). Branson and Hagner both bring a fresh perspective to shows that are rich in tradition. Here are the nominees:
