Buttery Pan Rolls

Buttery Pan Rolls


This bread machine recipes makes 16 flaky, buttery, small dinner rolls.

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup cold milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 T. melted butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 T. sugar
  • 2 tsp. active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Preparation -
Place all the ingredients, except the 1/4 cup melted butter, in the bread machine pan - in the order specified in your bread machine's owner's manual. Set bread machine on the dough setting and press start.

Pour 2 tablespoons melted butter in an 8" square baking pan. Tilt the pan to coat the entire bottom with butter. At end of the dough cycle, remove the bread batter from the machine. Drop the batter, by 16 rounded tablespoons full, into the baking pan.(4 rows - 4 each - for 16 rolls) Pour the last 2 tablespoons of melted butter over the top of the mounds of batter. Cover loosely with a clean towel or plastic wrap and let rise in a warm place for about 30 to 40 minutes or until almost doubled in size. Uncover and bake in a preheated oven at 400º for 12 to 15 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool slightly on a wire rack, then serve warm.

Heat the warming stone in the oven at 350º for 5 to 10 minutes and your dinner rolls and breads will stay warm throughout your meal.
