  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup milk

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • vegetable oil for frying.

Preparation -
In a large batter bowl, (a bowl with a spout ), combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; mix well. In a separate bowl. whisk together together buttermilk, milk, eggs and melted butter. Spread about about 1 tablespoon of oil on a family size griddle or large skillet. Heat to medium high heat ot until a drop of water on the surface quickly sizzles. Whisk buttermilk mixture into dry ingredients until blended. Do not beat. Pour batter onto a hot skillet...the amount depends on the size pancakes you want to make.
