Tenjho Tenge
Tenjho Tenge is based on a manga series written by Ito Ogure. The series follows the first eight volumes of the manga rather closely; however, the sexual content has been toned down.
Souichiro Nagi and Bob Mahihara arrive for their first day at Toudou Academy, where they had intended to rule the school by beating up any and all people who got in their way. Souichiro is a first year student who is a self proclaimed hoodlum. He also possesses a power called Dragon's Fist; this allows Souichiro the ability to take supernatural powers from others to use as his own.
Bob is of African descent, and he practices an Afro-Brazilian martial art called Capoeira. However, as the two spend time at the school, they learn that Toudou was founded to teach and integrate different martial arts fighting styles. Some of the students at the school also possess supernatural abilities.
Maya Natsume, a third year student, is the leader of the Juken Club. She is skilled in various martial arts, and has a body manipulation technique to revert into a childhood form to conserve her ki.
Her younger sister, Aya Natsume, is a first year student at Toudou Academy, and is a member of the Juken Club. She has a power called the Dragon's Eye. Aya also develops a romantic interest in Souichiro, after he crashes into a shower room at the school and he sees Aya's nude form. An old tradition in the Natsume family states that the man who sees a female member of the family in the nude will become her husband.
Masataka Takayanagi is a second year student at the school, who is also a member of the Juken Club. He's usually easygoing and a little shy, but he is able to be angered and become serious. He also has a crush on Aya.
Tenjho Tenge is an anime series that is not being targeted at a younger audience. There is a lot of "fanservice" (such as panty shots and hinted at nudity). Personally, I would recommend Tenjho Tenge to anime viewers who are 16 or 17 years of age and older.
