Puppy Cookies

Puppy Cookies

  • 2-1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup nonfat dry milk
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1-1/2 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 6 T. leftover meat gravy or broth
  • 1 jar baby food - strained beef or chicken

Preparation -
Mix all the ingredients together to form a dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 1 hour. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough about 1/4" thick. Cut with a small dog bone shape (or other) cookie cutter. Bake in a preheated oven at 350º for 20 to 25 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool and harden.
