Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Chocolate Covered Strawberries


  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate
  • 2 T. unsalted butter
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries - washed and dried - DO NOT Remove the Hulls!

Preparation -
Line a tray with parchment paper or waxed paper. Place the chocolate in a 1 quart microwave safe bowl. Place the butter in the center of the chocolate. Cook in a microwave oven at 50% power for 2 minutes. Stir, then cook at 50% power for 15 seconds intervals, just until the chocolate is melted. To coat the berries... One by one, holding a berry by the hull, partially dip it into and swirl in the melted chocolate mixture. Place the coated berries, hull side down on the lined tray. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes before serving to harden the chocolate coating Store left over chocolate dipped berries in a covered container in the refrigerator.
