Chocolate Waffles Recipe

Chocolate Waffles


Here's a recipe for a quick and easy last minute dessert. Serve warm with sundae topping and ice cream for a decadent dessert that's perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp.vanilla
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

Preparation -
Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt in a medium mixing bowl. Add the buttermilk, eggs and vanilla and whisk until well blended. Gradually add the melted butter and whisk until smooth.

Bake in a preheated waffle iron, according to manufacturer's directions.
Serve warm, with hot fudge sundae topping or raspberry sundae topping plus whipped cream or ice cream.
