I’m a stay-at-home mother of three children, and I watch television with my kids to keep up with current animation. Through them, I have seen some of the more recent anime offerings (Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, etc.) I had my first exposure to anime as a child, back when my family lived in Japan while my father served in the Navy; I vividly remember really liking Candy Candy. After we moved back to the United States, some of my favorite anime growing up included Star Blazers, Voltron, and Robotech. I have collected, or am in the midst of collecting, DVD sets for these anime properties.
Between 2002 and 2004, I served as the Lead News Editor for Digital Media FX, a website devoted to animation and special effects. Through this experience, I was able to learn more about anime.
I look forward to sharing what I know, and I also look forward to building an Anime community here at BellaOnline. Please feel free to contact me with questions and comments anytime!
