Nox: Quest addition is great!
We love Nox. The base game is a ton of fun, if rather short-lived. You are a warrior, conjuror or wizard, fighting evil, uniting a nation, triumphing against all odds. The graphics are great, the interface relatively easy to use. Multiplay is even more fun, as you easily find people day or night to either deathmatch against or capture-the-flag with.
I've always wished there was a cooperative mode of play in multi-player, though. I don't enjoy deathmatch as much as I enjoy uniting with my fellow teammates against the greater enemy. Capture the flag has some of that, but I'd always hoped for more. The Quest add-on for Nox addresses some of that!
In essence, the Quest add-on makes Nox much like a series of waves in Dungeon Keeper. There are obelisks scattered around the map, each one glowing green and creating monsters constantly that match its symbol. Your task is to hunt each one down and destroy it, thereby stopping its spawning of evil creatures.
Each player has a limited number of lives. With a team of up to six compatriots, you must track down keys and ankhs to prolong your lives, and destroy each obelisk. Destroy them all and the Quest gets more difficult, going along with more monsters. Hecubah might actually come down and visit you with her minions if you get too cocky.
There are also soulgates, which mark where you wish your ressurect point to be. You can choose where you wish to come back should you die, to make the navigating of the level easier.
