Corpses stays 5 min per level, and you can only have a certain number of corpses in the world at once. Try to stay alive while you fetch stuff from your corpse :) You usually drop your most valuable item with the corpse.

You can buy multiple items at once (if they're available) by sliding the bar over in your control panel area while at a shop.

Quests change with each update - don't assume that you already know everything that everybody is going to say. Be sure to go back and talk to people occasionally!
