This is the main, entry world. You start with all base the base skills from Banjo Kazooie, such as red feather knowledge, etc. This makes it a slight pain for those who didn't play the first one, but you can practice and learn here by asking at the various molehills for help.
You can fly from red feather spots, and swim in the water. There is a bubble gauge of how much longer you can stay beneath the surface.
"Cheato" the book is up in witch head, and will give you a cheat for every 5 pages you find. You can fly from the mountaintop or just backflip-jump to ladder and climb up. This is "Gruntilda's Lair" and color-changing feathers are in the broken frame on the wall.
It is easy to fly anywhere from here. You can fly to the yellow pad (chicken foot) - a book page in alcove above. You can fly to top of waterfall - "Behind the Waterfall". You can't break through the grate - go around it by grabbing the ledge and going into the waterfall. You'll get a giant blue egg to bring to Heggy to learn homing eggs. At the bottom of the waterfall, break open the kazooie rock when you get the torpedo ability for the red jinjo.
However, there is another grate up high with a crack in it. Once you get the grenade eggs, fly up here and break the crack open. You'll get the pink egg to bring back to the giant egg spot.
When you can blast the boulder out from the fish, you'll learn how to swim fast by pressing AB together. This is handy in the mines.
Fly A - launch. A - higher, B attack. Fire eggs, press hold Z crouch, Cup forward, Cdown backwards. A jump, B attack. A jump - Z jackhammer.
