Diablo 2
Act 2: Introduction

Act 2 begins with a cut scene: back to the Wanderer. He, his companion and his camel set out across the long desert. Eventually the camel dies and the poor beast gets kicked in the head for his efforts. The two finally reach Lut Gholein (go figure), a lovely town by the ocean.

The companion takes a nap and dreams of the entombment of Bael - apparently the human Tal Rasha, seeing how difficult this was going to be, offers to become the "human container" for Bael as part of his imprisonment. Not a nice way to spend your days. The Wanderer says that this is who he seeks - his brother. He of course doesn't make it clear if he means Bael or Tal Rasha :)

You now begin Act 2 in this town, Lut Gholein, with Warriv. Note that in coding the game Act 1 was done first (of course), so the graphics in Act 2 are actually slightly better than Act 1's are. Not that it helps much in the base Diablo 2 game ... although if you have the Expansion Set, graphics are pretty good all over!

In the town, besides Warriv and Cain, you encounter:
Jerhyn: Ruler, welcomes you, asks you to talk to Atma.
Fara: Paladin trader, she heals you and trades items
Lysander: Potion maker, key seller
Atma: Her son & hubby were killed by Radment. She gives you Quest 1.
Geglash: Petulant fighter in the tavern
Drognan: Magic item trader
Greiz: Mercenary leader, he sells you mercs
Elzix: A thief innkeeper who trades and gambles
Meshif: Captain of a ship anchored in town.
