Dungeon Siege 2 Walkthrough Saving / Possessions / Corpses Some people feel there is a "bug" in that when they resurrect they are missing items. That is NOT a bug!! That is how the game system works, so that death is not a "easy act" without any penalty. First off, when you go unconscious, you do NOT die. If you are left alone for a while, you will wake back up again. If your other party members can drive off whatever killed you, you will wake back up. You are not dead until your unconscious body is battered enough that your face-spot shows a tombstone. Once that happens, then you are dead and a "new you" appears back in town. However that "new you" does NOT have all your possessions! They are still on your corpse. You now have two options. First, you can trudge / teleport back to where your corpse is located. Simply walk near it and you will auto pick up everything on it. This can be easy if the monsters are dead. This can be REALLY hard if the corpse is surrounded by a horde of nasty monsters. This is where the game nicely provides choice #2. You can talk to the necromancer, Eranith, who hangs out by the teleport spot in town. He will gladly teleport your corpse back to the safety of town - for a price. He'll take a portion of the gold out of your inventory in payment for the teleportation. If your corpse is in a really, really nasty area, this is well worth the price. The game lets you save whenever you want, and actively advises you to save at the end of every chapter at least (unless you turn the prompts off). You can't create a whole running series of save games in order to hop and jump between them, since that is usually used by people who are looking to cheat the system. Equally, the game is savvy about people who try to quit and reload to avoid negative consequences. Just play the game through, and if you die, you die. There are always ways to get to your corpse or to get your corpse brought back to you.
