The arena is REALLY hard multi-round combat so try without boasts (or at least with just merciful hero) to start with. Go south to greatwood and then to the arena. You start out in the arena prep area, with Roth the Green Mowhawk Guy. There's also a blackjack table here.

Talk to the gate master to learn Chameleon is still in there, but shortly he's dead. Go on in. Your fans keep yelling out "A! A! A! A!" Can't they learn some new letters?

Round 1
Prize: 100g
This is an easy set of 3 rounds of wasps. I killed these without any issue.

Round 2
Prize: 500g
This is 3 sets of Hobbes. Some are the tough kind but again this should be pretty easy for you.

Round 3
Prize: 1,000g
This is a "team round" where you and Whisper are paired up against balverines. She really doesn't seem to help you much here. In fact her fireballs seem to conveniently blast you when you are not looking. Stay far away from her and just kill them on your own, watching out for their leaping ability. The second round has one uber-balverine, and the third round has two.

Round 4
Prize: 2,000g
This is the Undead Round. If you're good it is REALLY easy because you slice through them as a knife through butter. Slay them all.

Round 5
Prize: 3,000g
This is the Bandits of the Black Hand Gang. As usual the archers are the easiest to kill so slay them first, then move on to the tougher dudes. Three rounds.

Round 6
Prize: 4,000g
You get the Earth Troll Sisters - Ingrid and Bertha. They are pretty nasty! Then come the Rock Trolls Stanoth and Groyn. These are nasty because their rocks can reach you on the opposite side of the arena. Focus on the one that your ever-so-helpful pal Whisper is fighting, then take out the second one.

Round 7
This is the "final battle" with Arachanox. As you kill it, tiny babies come out to fight too. Just keep hammering away until it's fully dead.

Special Round
You're told that since there are two winners, something special is planned. Jack of Blades, the Hero of Heroes is here, and he says "fight to the death". Whisper says she won't kill you. You can kill her pretty easily, and then heal her and walk out. Lady Grey (the mayor of Bowerstone) is there talking to Thunder. She says for you to visit. Thunder is jealous.

Now you walk along the aisle of heroes and are shown the statues. You remind your guide of Scarlot Robe, the woman. She was the first female Hero to be arena champion. Surprise - it's your mom. Apparently Jack says that she lives alone, crushed by sadness. Jack claims to want to reunite you. Your dad, Brom, was a kind and simple woodsman who married her and had 2 kids.

You've now earned the Champion's Seal. This lets you into Bowerstone North.

You get 20700g, 4434 renown, 97028 exp

Just as you leave the arena, you also get a note that Theresa wants you to meet her at the grey house.
