Zidane carries Dagger back up the stairs, and lays her down on the couch. Now you go through a series of encounters - Beatrix comes in, realizes that the Queen was hurting Dagger, then the Queen and jesters come in. The Jesters attack, and there's a series of fights as you run down the stairs while Freya and Beatrix (and then Steiner) hold off the bad guys.

You get down to the very bottom and get once again trapped, but now Marcus and Blanc rescue you from the gates and you head out. You get on the bug-carrier, but it gets spooked by a monster and runs straight through to the Pinnacle Rocks.
