You're now heading for the Iafa tree. This is the Ancient Tree of Life. It's the source of the mist, too. You break the seal, and get a ruby. You trudge into the middle of it, and when you fight the boss there the mist goes away. There's a moggle in here - Mocchi, with a letter from Mogryo about Vivi.

Now when you return to Madain Sari you realize that something was stolen. Suddenly both bounty hunters show up to fight you. The red-headed guy wants to fight you on his own, and you do and defeat him.
