On the Boat

When you get on the boat, there are lots of things to do and people to talk to. Go down below decks. You'll meet O'aka XXIII, a merchant. You can give him money if you wish. There's a power room with Chocobo power. You find the Primer Vol III, that L = C. In the room to the left, there is a remedy in the chest, and kick the suitcase twice to get 2 potions. There's something secret in the back room that you can't get to.

Back upstairs. Go in the wheelhouse in the middle to get primer V, A = E. Talk to the people around Yuna to learn she's the daughter of a high summoner. Then talk to Wakka. Then talk to Yuna again to learn Tidus' father, Jecht, came to help her dad 10 years ago - when he vanished from Tidus' life.

Now Sin attacks. Target the fin in order to drive him off - you need to use distance attacks and magic to do so. When Sin is gone, it goes to attack Kilika. Tidus falls over, Wakka rescues him, and you have to fight a jellyfish before coming back on board.
