Hah, you didn't think you could get out of a Star Wars game without a pod race?? This is the traditional three lap race, with each lap getting more and more hard. In each "stage" of each lap (i.e. each track area) you have to be the front person or you have to re-do that one stage again.

The trick here is just to learn the race, as in all racing games. You have to do the turns on instinct. So don't expect to learn it the very first time through. Watch for the speed-up spots and learn where the openings are going to be.

You want to hit the poles to get coins. In the first plain / tunnel area, there's a 1/10 to the left in the purple crystal area.

The second area has enemies shooting down at you - Tuskan Raiders if you're a movie fan. Stay far left for the speed-ups and to grab 2/10. There'll be another 3/10 as you go straight up the center of the next area.

The final stretch is a wide open flat area of sand that is really about zigging left and right to get the speed-up areas. There's 5/10 and 6/10 right in front of 2 of the green speed-ups so it's really not too bad to get those.

Lap 2 has a Sebulba video that is cute the first time but annoying if you have to see it over and over again. There's 7/10 right in front of the path here, and 8/10 is off to the right. Note that the purple crystals do give you coins, so having to replay a level gives you more chance to gather.

Back into the firefight. You get 9/10 here by going through the central arch, in the middle of this section. You're back out to the long straight run where you have to get the speed-ups. Another straight run and you're into Lap 3.

You know the drill by now. There's one last 10/10 in the first section to the right. Next dodge the bullets and go for the greens. Stay far left to avoid the rocks. In the final area go right, more right, left and then right to hit all the greens. You get a cut scene of the ship being fixed in a funny way, and you're off!
