Lord of the Rings The Two Towers Walkthrough
Gap of Rohan

This is the wolf attack level. It's VERY short. You just have to find the trick of it.

First, you and Legolas and Gimli face 2 wolves. Just slash them a few times (the wolves, not Legolas and Gimli) to clear the courtyard. Now you break through some timbers to the top of the screen, but the roof caves in so you're stuck alone.

You get into sort of an "arena" with the boss guy and his minions. With the minions, just side-step their rush and slash them once or twice from behind. You should at least get a 'good'. If you want to do it the easy way just hit them with an arrow to kill them but you only get 'fair' and hardly any points. In any case you get either arrows or healing from them 99% of the time too.

OK now it's the boss. DO NOT ATTACK HIM. He will have his wolf pick you up in his mouth for a 10-second drama. Every single time. It gets VERY VERY annoying. Instead, dodge the first attack or two he makes. Stay close to him, maybe three wolf-lengths away. Then the wolf will REAR UP. Hit him in the chest with an arrow. The wolf will fall down quivering. Run in and SUPER-SLASH him 2 or 3 times until he recovers. Now back away again. He'll probably call in a helper - kill the helper as normal, and get the arrows or healing from the dead body. Now wait for your next chance to have the lead wolf rear up so you can arrow him again. It's really pretty easy when you get the order of things down.

I got 8 fair and 2 good for 12842 points, but that only gave me a 'fair' rating. I replayed it a few times and got 6 good and 2 fair for a 'good' rating but only 11960 points. Since in essence his friends are unlimited, you could keep playing this forever, just hitting him in the chest and having him call his friends to help, until he finally died from just the arrow wounds. But that's up to you. In any case you should be level 6 by now.

You're on to Helm's Deep now to make your final stand. Note that I'm only 4 hours into the game at this point and it's almost over.
