Here we go, the Heart of Nox. This is in the Tower of Illusion - i.e. Horvath's tower. The town is boring - stock up on any items you might need. Go down behind the tower to track down the heart. You'll find a frog room with cute green frogs, many rooms with ember demons and scrolls, ogres, and so on. Try to charm some ember demons to help you out, and use bombs whenever you can to stun/meteor/fist your enemies.

You'll go up through levels. When you hit the purple death rays, go into the door beforehand and kill the ember demons. Guys will call for you to help them out. Switch there to kill the streams, and continue onwards.
