Barlow is a desert backwater planet. The infamous riders are here :) The vendor has some new treats for you!

I *love* the miniturret glove. Save up for that when you can. You plunk the turrets down and then they kill off your enemies while you either lounge around or pick off the stragglers.

Head down the hall which is full of floppy eared critters that look suspiciously like gremlins. Next there are a group of sword dudes. And of course their riding lizards. In next area is a guy ON a lizard! Head up the ramp to a bridge. A horde of swordsmen come, greet them appropriately. Around corner are lots of lizards. There's another bridge. In the next room are glass cases and floppy eared gremlins. Soon you reach a blue continue point.

You'll see guys down below around a fire. Throw down a gravity bomb to kill them off. Jump down and go in the door. There are boxes and tubes to break. In the next area are more sword guys and lizards. Kill them all and a bridge goes out.

Go in and you'll see a vendor. Put in your memory card with a save game from the first Ratchet & Clank and you 1st and get some of your old favorites for free!!

Note that you can customize your weapon quick select in the pause menu to make your favorites easy to get to.

Head out and meet up with lots of gremlins. We like using the tesla claw on these. Take the elevator back down to start

Note you have to come back later with the helipack and the swingshot.

Swingshot
From the starting area, go up the ramp to the swingshot spot. Swing over. Go left, swing to the stone, then double swing. Swing at the floater to pull it to you. Then jump on the turning thing and ride it around to the other side. There are gremlins here. Pull the next platform to you and cross. Head down into the water. Swim down through into tunnel - using R1 to go faster. There's another spinner. Ride around and double sling to ledge. Into water pipe, down and through to a continue point.

Get ready - there are six slingshots in a row and then you have to helicopter to land on a nearby spinner. Pull the platform to you and land in an uber-gremlin area. Now double slingshot over to door. Break the ice around the scientist. He has a "Therminator". To which we always sing:

IN THEIR THATCH ROOFED COTTAGES!!!

Anyway, the Therminator is only 1,000 bolts! It can thaw ice too. Thaw the ice circle to the left until it's water and swim through. Freeze it back up again and then cross and go up on the higher ledge. Go around to the door and take the elevator down to your ship.

Helipack
Go up the elevator and helicopter over the gap. This is where the "pod racing" takes place!
