Zoo Tycoon Walkthrough
7: Endangered Species Zoo
This is the first of the intermediate shows. It's all about breeding an opaki, black leopard, and white bengal tiger. You need to get a zoo rating of 70, an avg guest happiness of 93, an avg animal happiness of 90, and a suitability of 70 for 12 exhibits. You need a baby of each endangered animal to win.
You start with woods and a sad bear and moose. Fix those up first, they're happy alone which is good. Throw in a few other low-maintenance animals - a camel, a mating pair of chimps, and then research your animals. Put them in early so they have time to breed, and keep them somewhere quiet. Research the cave, and some toys so the tiger and leopard are both happy. Then research animal fertility!
Add a few other simple creatures - a pair of female hippos, a pair of female kangaroos, one of ostriches, and a few flamingos. Warthogs are fun and easy too. Money's not a huge issue in this, having the time and success at breeding is. I had the most trouble with the Opakis. You might want to build 2 cages of Opakis (They don't like others in their own cage) so you're guaranteed to get some babies out of them. You get extra money with each birth, so it's good for business!
