Getting the right nutrition for sports has been one of the biggest challenges I have faced as someone with food allergies. Many energy bars and drinks have ingredients that can create undesirable side effects.
Recently, I decided to participate in a two-day, 200-mile bike event. Finding energy foods that would nourish and sustain me but yet be compatible with my food allergies was no walk in the park but worth the effort.
