Welcome to the January 7 edition of the BellaOnline Anime newsletter! I hope everyone had a good New Year's!

This week, I posted a biography of anime music composer Yoko Kanno. It's a featured article on the main Anime site, and the article can also be found in the "Anime Biographies" area of the site. I also posted an overview article for Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu in the "Current Anime" section, and a review of The Official Pokemon Handbook in the "Pokemon" section of the site. Earlier this week (January 5, to be exact), anime film director Hayao Miyazaki celebrated his 68th birthday. Happy Birthday, Miyazaki!
