Welcome to the December 17 edition of the BellaOnline Anime newsletter!
I learned yesterday evening that Maddie Blaustein, a voice actor who had provided a number of voices for the American dubbed
anime released by 4Kids Entertainment, passed away on December 11. Her best known role would be as the voice of Meowth for
most of the time 4Kids Entertainment was dubbing Pokemon. I have posted a biography for Maddie Blaustein, and a link to it
can be found later in this newsletter.
This week, I also posted reviews of Steamboy, Robotech Legacy Box Set 2, and Hello Kitty & Friends Volume 6. The reviews of
Steamboy and Hello Kitty & Friends Volume 6 can be found in the "Anime DVD Reviews" section of the Anime site. The review of
the Robotech box set can be found in the "Robotech and Related" section of the Anime site. Links to all three reviews can
also be found later in the newsletter.
I have also posted some Steamboy-related words to the list for the Anime word games. The soundtrack for The Animatrix is now
an "Editor's Recommendation" on the main Anime site.
