Welcome to the May 20th edition of the BellaOnline Anime newsletter!
If you were following anime last summer, you may have heard about Ponyo on the Clibb by the Sea, a Hayao Miyazaki film that was released in Japan. I'm pleased to share that an English dub of this film produced by Disney will finally be released in the United States. At this time, the release of the English dub is set for August 14, 2009. I will share more information about the upcoming release of this film as I learn more.
For the Anime site this week, I have posted two new articles. The first is an overview article for Mazinger Z (which was released in the United States under the title Tranzor Z). The other new article is a review of the 1988 OVA version of Appleseed. And this week, I also added words from Mazinger Z to the list for the anime word games.
