Welcome to the May 6th edition of the BellaOnline Anime newsletter!
Last week, I reported on anime distributor Central Park Media filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, and how I would be writing an article for the Anime site about this news. Late last week, I wrote and posted this article to the site; the link is included later in the newsletter.
However, I am also pleased to be able to report that A.D. Vision (ADV) has acquired the rights to three titles that had been distributed by Central Park Media. Those titles are: Grave of the Fireflies, MD Geist, and Now and Then, Here and There. ADV will be releasing Grave of the Fireflies and Now and Then, Here and There on DVD on July. Then, on July 21, the company will be issuing MD Geist on DVD.
Since the last newsletter, I have also posted two new articles to the BellaOnline Anime site. The first is an overview article for Fullmetal Alchemist. The second is a review of the Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 Ultimate Collection. Links to both of these articles are included later in the newsletter. Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 Ultimate Collection has been added to the Anime Shop, and is also an Editor's Recommendation on the main page for the BellaOnline Anime site. I have also added words from Fullmetal Alchemist to the list for the Anime word games.
