It has been raining here for the past few days. I have an IEP for Nicholas next week which is actually a phone conference with CAVA. Nick has off next Friday and the following Monday for President's Day. We will be visiting the Los Angeles Zoo. I won a flip video camera online last month and will be testing it out on our visit.

I met the new Superintendent for LAUSD the other day at a community meeting where I am the Secretary. I need to find the time to transcribe the meeting for minutes and the Superintendent wants a copy of what he agreed to at the meeting.
I got my income tax $ on Friday so Nick and I headed to the Mall for some shopping. This weekend I have purchased some autism awareness items on Zazzle and CafePress. These items will be showcased in a future article on autism products. I will also be writing an article on autism awareness events for 2009. Please send me any information you may have on activities in your state.
I am looking to promote new books on the topic of autism on twitter in April. As you may know Jenny McCarthy has a new book coming out that will take the spotlight away from other books and her media tour will be blogged on and hyped around the autism community.
I want to help market the other books coming out at the same time. Please contact me if you know of a book or have one due out. You can take this time to learn twitter and indicate your interest in a 30 or 60 minute interview with a few books to be given away on twitter. I would like to do one book each week of April. Also my son Nick turns 14 in March. If you have any feedback on what is a good gift for an autistic teen in this age group, please let me know. I have some ideas and will be posting an article end of the month listing them.
