Accused, but Not Guilty!
In the face of lies, false witnesses, and condemnation, we are to respond with the truth of God's Word in a way that is honoring and pleasing to God.
Scripture of the Week
“Hatred stirs up quarrels, but love makes up for all offenses.”
Proverbs 10:12 NLT
Woman of the Bible Profile
Who is she? The Harlot with the alabaster box.
What did she do? Jesus said, “She rained tears on my feet and dried them with her hair . . . but from the time I arrived she hasn't quit kissing my feet. . . she has soothed my feet with perfume” (Luke 7:43-47 MSG).
Where is her story found? Luke 7: 36-50
Why is she important? She was a woman of many sins. Everyone knew her reputation either from hearsay or as clientele. However, after living a life of self-abuse and indulging in temporary pleasures, she knew that Jesus was her only hope for forgiveness of healing from her past.
Pray for women across the globe who believe the lie that they are free to do whatever they want with their bodies. Some of these women do not have a choice born or sold into a sex slave culture. Other women believe that voluntary exploitation of their bodies is the only way they can feed their families. Some of these women were sexually abused as children and have not yet learned to love themselves properly. Pray that they come to know Jesus and that He is able to forgive them and teach them what true love really is.
