Happy Monday to everyone, and for those of you stuck inside because of the snow I hope you're keeping warm! Here's the latest article from the Cosmetics site at BellaOnline.com.

Enhancing Your Eyes - Formulas and Finishes
When you are looking for eye shadows, two things you need to consider are the formula of the shadow (powder or cream) and the finish (matte or frost). Confused? Read on to learn all about choosing the right products to enhance your eye!

Fun Facts: Eye Makeup Through the Ages

* 1980s: Eyeshadow was very bold-the more color the better, and popular shades include blue, pink and green (glitter finish was a plus)
* 1990s: Eyeshadow was not as loud as the 80's; rather it consisted more of neutrals (bronzes, chocolate) with a matte finish. Although the end result was to look natural, lots of work went into pulling off a natural look. Smoky eyes also became popular.
* 2000s: Matte went out and dewy, radiant faces because trendy. Matte shadows still sold, but cream and crayon eye shadow created a wash of sheer color to enhance eyes. Vibrant colors were still used, but people used less so eyes weren't too bold.
* 2010s: Pastels, neutrals, metallic colors...there are a plethera of shadows to choose from. People are playing with color a little more (think toned down Lady Gaga). Technology has crept in--Stila has a Smoky Eye palette that even talks and directs you how to apply the shadows!
