We're following the Presidential election here and my 11 year old is making lots of great observations about the way the candidates market themselves, and how little time is really spent talking about the issues. It's tempting to jump in with my own conclusions, but I try to listen and ask questions that will help him make up his own mind. We have a non-partisan household, and frequently my husband and I vote for opposing candidates. It's a fascinating time in our nation's history, and I am glad that my son is really paying attention.
