You can also see the first part of this article on women in horror, and reviews on the new 'Friday the 13th' which is basically just another sequel, and in no way is it like the original (thank God). I also, the week before, looked at what's being said about the 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' re-make.

Hopefully, 'Platinum Dunes' will pull away from any of the characters in the original and try and go for something different, as they have with 'Friday the 13th.' Hopefully, then the classic will remain un-tainted by a bad re-make and just bare witness to a bad sequel.
