With our culture’s focus on material success, it can seem like happiness is always just out of reach. But rather than dwelling on what we want for the future, this week's Mental Health article examines how to let go of the illusion of control and enjoy the present moment:
“Letting Go of the Outcome”
Many of us believe that we can’t be happy until we obtain or accomplish some particular object or objective. We put our well-being on layaway, as though we must make a series of payments before we can have what we want. But by letting go of the outcome, we can accept and appreciate what we have.
I hope to hear from you soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message. I appreciate and rely on your feedback. And remember to pass this message along to family and friends who might benefit from the resources at BellaOnline. Thanks!
